INK: What is your full name, nickname, age and where do you hail from?

Michael Christopher Liberto, “The Bethlehem Brawler” – Age 29 – Hailing from Bethlehem, PA

INK: What inspired you to get into the MMA World?  How long have you been fighting?

I have always been very athletic; I was involved in football, baseball, and wrestling. MMA intrigued me, and so it was the next step for me; I never felt like I finished what I started as an athlete. Watching the UFC athletes fueled my ambition to continue my dream.

I have been fighting for one year. I came to a point in my life when I needed to give up drugs, alcohol, and women and realize that my life was worth more than that. And so, I turned to my true friends, God, and MMA. Here I am today.

INK: What is your “Walkout Song?”

Thunderstruck by AC/DC

INK: What is the current focus of “The Bethlehem Brawler?”

To train and become more of a well-rounded fighter. Along with training hard, I am learning to enjoy life and grow as a man.

INK: Is there a specific fighter that you model yourself after?

Chris Weidman: He is a humble family man who’s strength in the cage stems from wrestling.  But don’t get it twisted, I would love to fight him one day.

INK: What’s your favorite song or album to listen to when training?

My iPod: I have a very eclectic selection of songs that I shuffle through as I train. (Some include: AC/DC, Meek Mill, Eminem, Guns & Roses, Tom Petty, Bruce Springsteen & Darius Rucker)

INK: What’s your favorite city outside of Philly (can be global)? Why?

Bethlehem, baby!  I’m “The Bethlehem Brawler!” Simply put:  For the way it raised me, I am a product of my environment.

INK: What’s your favorite childhood breakfast cereal?

Fruity Pebbles.

INK: What’s the most embarrassing moment in the MMA World? (If none, most embarrassing childhood moment?)

When I was in first grade at a catholic school, I was not the best behaved little boy.  One day I was pissed off and so I kicked my leg and my shoe flew off my foot. Mind you the shoe coming off was unintentional, but it happened.  Anyway, the shoe ended up hitting the teacher in the head.  She sent me to the Nuns and they thought I was the devil.  So, my punishment was that my desk was put inside a cardboard box for the rest of the year. I sat in a box!

INK: How do you feel about the Eagles 2013 season?

I just bought an Eagles t-shirt yesterday. I am excited to see a new head coach and hope he can do good things for the team.  I think Chip Kelly is ahead of the game!  But, we are talking about the Eagles.  We all are pumped up at the beginning of the season and left disappointed at the end. High hopes though; E-A-G-L-E-S!!

INK: What’s your favorite cartoon character and why?

Popeye!! Simply because he kicks ass!

INK: Coffee or tea? (If neither, what?)

COFFEE! I live off of it! With Extra cream and Extra sugar. Until my girlfriend got me to change to skim milk and splenda. But that is my only vice when losing weight. It is my comfort.

INK: What is favorite hobby outside of this fighting?

Fighting doesn’t leave much time for a hobby. So, when I do get free time, I spend it with my girlfriend, friends, and family.

INK: When’s your next fight?  Where?  Who’s your opponent?

TBD.   XFE.   TBD.

INK: Where can we find out more about the Bethlehem Brawler?
